Positive impact on stakeholders

There are countless services where technology has had a positive impact on the stakeholders. Off the top of my head I can think of:

💳 Square —a credit card processing service that allows small vendors to accept credit cards without complications or huge fees.

🏡 Airbnb — a short term rental booking platform that allows vacationers to book cheaper or unique stays around the world and hosts to make an extra income by letting people stay in their homes.

📱 Apple Pay — an Apple device payment feature that allows users to pay with their phones instead of carrying their credit card.

For my analysis, I will use Square. Square changed the game for millions of vendors and small businesses by allowing them to process credit and debit card transactions. Square provided an immense amount of value to the vendors and the clients.

A vendor signing up for Square would register on the website (fronthouse), the employees at Square would send a free card reader in the mail (backhouse), the vendor would link their bank account online (fronthouse), the bank would process the transaction link the account to the Square network (backhouse), and then the vendor could start taking payments at their store with the card reader + app (fronthouse).
