Response on The Road Not Taken and my views on the Education system.

The third stanza questions really if you should come back and walk the path that you didn’t chose earlier on, its like that little devilish voice in your head that questions your choices and everything that you do. But you just got to take that leap of faith, you have to jump and do what you want even if everyone around you is telling you that it isn’t what you really want to do. You will always know that’s what you really need to do for yourself. To go back to the first choice and walk a new path, it’s brave, courageous even. It takes a lot of heart.The poem ends with a line that points out that what path you take changes what paths you would take in the future.

When it gets to the time of the year when their are tests and exams, why do students cram? Is it due to the stress put on to perform well on the exam or is it the inability to retain information previously given by teachers. Either way exams really do fry a student’s mind, staying up late at night constantly reading over notes, writing down even more details notes, doing tens and thousands of questions related to whatever subject. Why is working with other people on the exam cheating? Schools value collaboration skills don’t they? In all exams aren’t helpful for students, as it really doesn’t help their mental health with piles and mounds of stress and minimal sleep.

The education system needs to make some but not many changes, more student freedom would be a key on of those changes needed to be made.
