Create an account on the GitHub website where you can create your remote repository.

Git is a Distributed Version Control System so you no need to worry about the server going down if you are working on a project and collaborating with others you all can come to the git and make changes from your device by cloning the remote repository into your local repository make your changes to the file and push it to the remote repository.

Anyone with permission can access the files and can make changes to them and can also push them to the remote repository.

Did not like the changes made in the files then no worries you always can get your previous version of your file as it was before making any changes.

Git keeps track of files every time you make changes to them so your files will be safe if you push them to GitHub.

You made files and you pushed them to the GitHub remote repository and then that’s it now you no need to worry about your file on your hard drive because they all are safe on GitHub whenever you need just pull them to your device’s local repository if needed make changes and push them to the GitHub.

So there are Git commands through which you can create a local repository and track your files and push them to your remote repository.

Git and Github have a lot more things to offer which makes it easy and safe to maintain files and keep track of them easily without fear of losing them.
