Data Science Free DataSets found

Serendipitously, a colleague on the other side of the world, in posting an expression of interest in finding datasets on Facebook, in essence crowdsourced a list of resources (including the ones I knew that I shared with him), which I found was just brilliant, and inspired this post, where I’m happily sharing here my amalgamated listing of those free datasets out there (including ones his FB message thread pointed out to me).
