More Conferences about CG Industry Is Coming

| TAC: The Animation Conference 2023

Time: September 20–22

Location: Ottawa

TAC, short for The Animation Conference, is an animation-industry-related conference that always held during the Ottawa International Animation Festival. According to the official announcement, this year’s TAC returns to Ottawa’s famous Château Laurier and offers attendees a chance to “reconnect with industry contacts and establish new relationships with the producers, broadcasters, artists, executives, and buyers in attendance”.

The Ottawa International Animation Festival is one of the most well-known animation festival in North America that lasts five days each year to bring art and industry together in a vibrant hub. This year’s festival will be held during September 20th — 24th, with a multitude of animation events including screenings, exhibits, workshops and entertainment.

OIAF is now calling for entries for, any finished animation work can be submitted to compete for awards before May 31st, 11:59PM Eastern Time. Like always, there are multiple kinds of awards that artists can compete for, including the Grand Prize for Animated Feature, the Grand Prize for Animated Short, the Public Prize, the Canadian Film Institute Award for Best Canadian Animation, and several craft awards.

Location: Turin & Online

VIEW Conference 2023, the 24th International VFX Computer Graphics Conference, is Italy’s premiere International event on Computer Graphics, Interactive Techniques, Digital Cinema, Animation, VR/AR, Games, VFX and immersive storytelling.

| SIGGRAPH Asia 2023

Time: December 12–15

Location: Sydney

The 16th ACM SIGGRAPH Conference and Exhibition on Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques in Asia will take place from 12th to 15th December 2023, at International Convention Centre, Sydney, Australia.
