May 21 Evening Devotional

When all seems lost I doubt.
When I can’t see the way out,
ㅤ I let fear possess me.
When today reminds me of tomorrow’s uncertainty,
ㅤ I dwell on that uncertainty,
Letting it push me to and fro.

But you Lord, are not uncertain.
You see tomorrow as clearly as yesterday.
You know the path forward.
You provide the way out.

And when tomorrow arrives,
ㅤ I find you there.
Waiting for me.
Waiting to show me you were ready.
Waiting to show me your way.
Waiting to reveal the unexpected.

For your ways are not my ways.
You work in ways I do not expect.
Ways I could not expect.
But, you are always at work.
Always preparing my tomorrows.

Lord, today I will be of good courage,
ㅤ for I know you are at work.
Today I will rest in you,
ㅤ for I know the unexpected is near.
Lord, today, as I wait for tomorrow’s unexpectedness,
ㅤ I will rest quietly in your love.
